Main features
Iron-based self-fluxing alloys are made by adding a certain amount of chromium, boron, silicon and other elements to iron-carbon alloys. They are usually used in mechanical parts below 500℃ that are resistant to wear and weak acid corrosion. Although the comprehensive performance of iron-based alloy powders is not as good as that of nickel-based and cobalt-based powder alloys, the raw materials are widely available and inexpensive, which is a major advantage for its widespread application.
